"We Are Just A Vapor"
Our life is... then gone!
For many young children entering the maze of life's absurdities the question of, "what is the meaning of life and my purpose" may not have been brought up or explained. So, while wondering and growing through those learning curve years, the knowledge of God and his plans aren't relevant. That leaves one vulnerable and exposed only to the pressures and pleasures presented from the world's standpoint. Thus, if fate accords long life, they age alone in their struggles and thoughts of wonderment.
What can anyone say? When a person is young and healthy striving through roads of uncertainty, stupefied by the fact one even exists, for many, growing toward that old age can be a tough battle. But if you're fortunate enough to have gone through it, then happen to look back, those many years of memories flood your thoughts and it all seems to have gone by so very quickly.
The Bible sums it like this, "Yet, you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away." → James 4:14
At 72... Looking Back So Many Years Ago
Where's Pop? Phmmm! Oh, I remember... working!
Reaching that old age is fortunate for many, and unfortunately, all those years spent filling the void with various experiences will come to an end. Hopefully, leaving some good memories for loved ones. So, cherish every moment with what time you do have and give glory to the LORD. The benefits to the believer → John 3:16
